I have been taking courses at the local community college in photography for several years now. It started out as a way to get back into photography and into the darkroom and has since progressed to just wanting to take new classes to challenge me to do things outside my box. A lot of semesters I’ve taken at least two photo classes but I’ve pretty much run out of classes at my campus. I belive that the photojournalism class I just finished was my last class. I will probably do more independent studies just to keep pushing myself. I also decided that since I had taken all the photo classes that I might as well take the non photo classes required to get a degree in Fine Arts so that is what I’m working on right now. I’m also taking Math for Liberal Arts and History and Appreciation of Art 101 right now. So three classes plus a full time job plus starting a photography business has led to a complete lack of free time.
Anyway I just turned in my final last night for my Photojournalism class. Now being a procrastinator/never happy with my ideas, I of course decided last minute to change my topic and reshoot the whole thing. When I say last minute I mean the day before it was due! But I pulled it together and turned in what I hope was a winning performance! The assignment was to do a photo essay on a topic and present it in a magazine article style format. Below are my pages.

So I got an A-, not too shabby for last minute change of plans!!! I totally would have rocked the A+ if I thought of the idea two weeks before instead of 1 day before 🙂
