When I was a kid I used to run out and get the latest Anne Geddes calendar every year. I”d ooh and ahh over the babies in buckets, c’mon you know you did too you child of the 90’s! As I’ve gotten older my tastes have changed and as much as a baby in a bucket can still be super cute I prefer to keep it simpler.
I love a simple white onesie with an heirloom blanket. I love an adorable hat crocheted by the wrinkled hands of a great grandmother. I love the protective nature of a new father cuddling his baby girl and staring at her in awe. I love a new mom beaming down at this precious being that was just inside her. The baby in the bucket is adorable but I find more meaning in the parents standing just off camera holding hands and radiating love at this amazing gift they have received.
Sessions like this lifestyle newborn session are my favorite because it shows a family! It shows what life looked like the day you brought that baby home. It shows a big brother with a cast because he broke his arm recently. It shows the nursery that you will spend hours in rocking the baby to sleep at night.
Typically in a newborn session you spend a lot of time trying to get the baby back to sleep but not so much in my sessions. I love seeing their beautiful blue eyes and their adorable faces! I love seeing everyone interacting with the baby and then in those quiet moments of snuggling the sleepy photos come naturally.
Meet My Nephew
This session in particular was very special to me as it was for my newest nephew Logan who is giving me crazy baby fever. I think he is just the cutest and sweetest baby, his mommy might have a different story to tell though! I also got to give some input on his nursery design which was super fun for me! You know anything with anchors gives me all the heart eyes! So enjoy meeting my adorable nephew and checking out his lifestyle newborn session!
