Time flies when you’re expecting baby number two and you’re chasing after baby number one

When you’re expecting your first, SO much of your time is spent preparing yourself & your home for the arrival of your precious baby. But what happens when you’re expecting your second? You’re already so busy with your oldest, the time flies by at warp speed.

As a mom myself, I totally get it. This season of life is a bit of a blur of sleepless nights, long days, and piles of things everywhere.

What month of pregnancy should you take maternity photos?

As your friendly photographer, here’s a tip to keep in your back pocket for when/if the time comes: When you find out you’re expecting, set a reminder at the start of the second trimester to book your maternity session. And when the reminder date rolls around, reach out to your photographer! Get that task off the to-do list, and while you’re at it, you might as well reserve the newborn session, too!

Maternity photography sessions typically take place between 28-32 weeks. By reserving your session at the start the second semester, you give yourself plenty of time to plan the maternity session of your dreams.

During this busy season of life, don’t forget to document the milestones that make up the path you’re creating together.
