Does anyone remember that game 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon? The idea is that you can trace pretty much any Hollywood actor back to Kevin in 6 people or less. I always think of it when I randomly run into a client only to find out they are friends of another friend of mine. That happened recently with Brittni & Billy! I call it 6 degrees of Melissa Arlena, photography edition.
I was at the 1st birthday party of our best man’s son and I see this guy that I realize has been in front of my camera before lol! It was Billy and any doubt went out the window when I spotted Brittni with their little boy who is so big now! Yes, I’m behind on blogging lol! I dare you to show me a busy maternity photographer in Fredericksburg Va who isn’t behind on blogging!
Turns out they are in a playgroup with our best man and his wife (whom I also photographed for their engagement, wedding, maternity, and family sessions). They were just as surprised to see me in a random place and realize we had friends in common! Neither they or my other couple had any idea I had photographed them all. Just a funny story of how small our world can be!
I met Brittni and Billy at my favorite field for their maternity session in Fredericksburg, Va. We had gorgeous light and Brittni was glowing in her beautiful blue dress. I especially loved the last photos we took under the willow trees with the sunset glow behind them. I told Brittni to snuggle in to Billy and I like to think this was their last quiet moment before becoming parents lol!
