When I first walked into this nursery I felt like I had been transported to England! I was sure when I looked out the windows I would see a traditional English rose garden just below. Considering Lauryn was going for a Classic English Country Nursery I’d say she nailed the look!
The purple toile wallpaper was as amazing in person as it looks in the photos. I know wall paper gets a bad rap but when it’s a classic I don’t think you have to worry about it going out of style! I absolutely love seeing crib accent walls with wallpaper!

Classic English Country Nursery
What inspired your nursery design?
I wanted something feminine and timeless.
Did you have a particular budget in mind for your Classic English Country Inspired Nursery?
Yes, I wanted to keep it reasonable but she was our first long awaited child so I didn’t always hold back. Wound up keeping it under 12K.
On which items did you splurge vs. save?
Splurged on the crib, rocker and bookcase but figured I could use them all for the next child and the bookcase we would keep forever. Wound up finding an inexpensive wallpaper and a vintage dresser off Etsy. The rug was also a cheap online find.
Did you experience any challenges with your nursery design?
Due to Covid, so many items were backed up! I remember thinking I was starting super early but thankfully I started early because there was such a delay in ordering this year.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your Classic English Country Inspired Nursery?
I just love it. It feels like something that could have been designed years ago but in an updated version for today.
Any final tips or advice?
Choose classic pieces that you could use again for dresser, bookcase, even a rocker. They are pieces you can use for when the child is older or a guest room. Also, wallpaper makes a huge statement and then can cut down on how much wall décor you need.
