As we begin winding down 2021 and focusing on the new year ahead, it’s the perfect time to secure your 2022 family photos to get it off of your plate. Spring and Summer are around the corner and will be here before we know it! So, I thought I would put together a little piece on why now is actually the perfect time to book.

1. The first is the most obvious – when we have ample time to plan, everyone can prepare properly. This ensures your top notch service! Things like location, wardrobe, and artwork for your home can feel overwhelming for moms, understandably. I take great care to help ease those worries and guide you every step of the way, from where and when to meet, styling assistance, posing throughout the session, and even designing heirloom artwork for your home. The more time we have before, the more intentional and curated your session is!
2. After the past couple of years, I think we can all agree that our collective view of family has shifted. We’ve had more time together than ever, families have grown, and our spending habits have changed. I cannot put enough emphasis on the importance of family portraits and the investment they are into your family’s legacy. A photographer once told a story that I just loved and is fitting. She said, “If in 10 years, you still think the artwork isn’t worth it on your walls, I’ll buy it back at double the cost.” After 20+ in the industry, she hasn’t had one return. We don’t truly know the value of the photos until we’re looking back on them. Hindsight is a catch 22.
3. Lastly, I’ll leave you with this one thought. How many photos do you have of you with your children that aren’t selfies? You deserve to have real, professional portraits of the love you have for one another, as a family unit.
