Once again I teamed up with the fabulous ladies of Anthomanic Florals and C & A Events for some fun tablescape styleshoots! We are so excited to have our Winter Snowfall tablescape published on Wedding Wire’s blog last week! When we chatted about our next styleshoot my only request was to do a winter table at The Lodge at Stevenson Ridge. I thought the wooden beams and beautiful fireplace would be the perfect backdrop for a winter wonderland. Ashley and Amanda created a snow filled tablescape with a wonderful monochromatic theme. I love the addition of the silver ornaments as napkin ties! Since the planning and everything fell on Ashley and Amanda I asked them to write a description of their inspiration and we discovered that Amanda is a wordsmith!!! I should hire her to write my blog posts for me!
From Amanda:
Inspired by falling snow, this tablescape takes wedding guests to a winter landscape surrounded by pillow soft textures and decorative winter elements such as pine cones, ornaments and snow. Monochromatic color schemes for weddings are becoming more and more popular as brides realize you can get more overall effect by using one color in abundance. C&A Event Planning organized all the decorative elements and coordinated with the vendors involved about the overall theming, monochromatic white and silver palette. Classic Party Rentals of Virginia provided the linens that complimented this texture rich look with a mixture of contrasting metallic and soft fabrics. Chikpea Graphics created beautiful menu and place cards for the feast. The backdrop of ‘The Lodge’ at Stevenson Ridge is made up of reclaimed and recycled antique wood, which made for a beautiful and warm space perfect for a fireside dinner. To complete the collaboration, Anthomanic added their floral decor to the table and mantle. The silver was even an inspiration for the greenery used, dusty miller, which has a silver appearance. Rounded, fluffy blooms such as peonies, roses, hydrangea and phalaenopsis orchids are a perfect choice for this setting. Crystalized and sparkling decorative elements such as snow and glitter pine cones placed throughout the table also add a touch of winter as they shimmer in the candlelight. Accented with white birch branches as well as tubes of crystal clear water, we created an overall feeling of being surrounded by ice, crystals and mounds of fallen snow!
I think they did a fabulous job showing off an elegant way to do a table in the holiday season! So check out the post on Wedding Wire and then come back here for even more eye candy from the shoot!
