It was cold and damp but we were trying to get some Christmas photos done so we bundled them up in their coats. She wore her moms hat rolled up so that it fit her. We tried to hurry up because their little teeth were starting to chatter. I kneeled down on the dock to be at their level and she was between me and the open expanse of the river. For just a moment she turned to me and it was perfect. I knew as soon as I pressed the shutter that I had caught something. I had caught a small moment where she looked perfect and innocent like a little doll.
