So I’ve made it to the halfway point, I’m 20 weeks now! Woohoo!! The pic above is last weeks pic, sorry I skipped hair and makeup today so a new photo will have to wait.
David and I have settled on an in-utero name after many rejects. Rejected names included the bean, peanut and Roscoe. I still have no idea where David got Roscoe from but I vetoed it!! We are now referring to the baby as Skipper, we figured that even though David is “Captain” on the boat the new baby will really be the one running the show. So Skipper and I are doing great! I am feeling his/her kicks and movements all the time now. It’s weird. It doesn’t hurt but sometimes it can feel uncomfortable if I’m bent over something and the baby is getting squished. I get kicked a lot then! Once again the Dr mentioned how active the baby was when trying to get the heartbeat at our appt yesterday! I’m guessing I will be in for a lot of chasing later in life!
I’ve had 3 weddings so far this month and no issues, I did realize at one wedding I might not be climbing up on reception chairs for much longer but that is what my second shooter is for ;)! The baby loves wedding cake, about the time I get home the sugar rush hits him/her and I feel all kinds of kicks and movements!
We went for our 20 week ultrasound and the tech was great about not going anywhere near the telltale parts so the sex is still a secret from us all! My mom and sister came with me and we were able to video chat David in too! It was hard to tell what was what at times but it was nice to get some updated pics. Skipper is weighing in at about 10oz and looks great, heartbeat in the 150’s!
So for Gram, Grandmother & Grandaddy here is the latest pic of your new great-grandchild! I go back in 4 weeks for another ultrasound so maybe I’ll get a better photo then :)!
Ok I pre-blogged yesterday so today I did my hair and make-up and am adding a 20 week pic to this post!
