Do you love photography and have especially fallen in love with wedding images? Are you wondering what it really takes to run your own photography business? Are you a student, high school or college that would like to get credit for all this learning? Do you know a student that would love to do this? Then please have them send me an email, melissa@melissaarlenaphotography.com. I’m looking for an intern for the summer and possibly the fall semester. Interns will need to be able to commit to 10-15 hours a week. Most work will be done at my studio in Downtown Fredericksburg and once a month you will accompany me to a wedding on a Saturday.
Interns will get hands on experience with the following:
- Assisting on a wedding day
- Technical aspects of photography and how they relate to a wedding
- Editing, software, tips, tricks and workflow
- Client correspondence
- Sales and Ordering
- Workflow
- Marketing
These are just a few of the things that you will learn, I have yet to find a college class titled Wedding Photography Business 101 so here it is! This internship is limited to students. A post is never complete without a photo so check out some cameras from the past, who knows maybe one of these was used for a wedding at some time!
