The second day of the MJ2Day we covered business information which is what I needed to hear the most. My business has really grown by leaps and bounds since I went full time this summer and I wanted to figure out how to manage everything and make it easier on me and my brides. I also want to be able to give my brides new and fun things they can use at their wedding and I can’t wait to start trying some new ideas out! I also realized that I need to streamline some things and not overwhelm my brides with too many options. I can’t help it, I get so excited about new products but I realize now that instead of offering a dozen things I can focus on one or two and if someone is interested in something new and different I can then let them know about other products. So there were lots of things that I took away from the workshop for my business and if you’ve noticed being a more frequent blogger is a big one. It takes a lot to blog, there are so many behind the scenes things that need to happen. The biggest factor is the time to do it all and letting go of distractions, so I have to close out of facebook and google reader and concentrate on getting my blog posts written and scheduled. I have found it easier to write out a schedule of what I want to blog and then sit down and knock out several in one day. If you read my blog I would love to hear comments!
At the end of our second day we went out and took headshots of each other, it was really nice to have new profile photos and you can check out my post from Friday for my new headshots! I really believe that the best thing you can take away from a workshop is new friends. These are the women or men in the trenches with you and going through what you are going through, they can be a shoulder to cry on or a sounding board for new ideas. I really need them to keep me in line with my goals and make sure I’m pushing my business forward. I am really good at coming up with ideas but I can be pretty bad at follow through. So I will be counting on these girls to harass me to make sure I’m moving forward! In turn I will keep on them to accomplish their goals too!!! So here are a few of the girls I had a chance to photograph. Caroline was so adorable I had a bunch of cute photos of her so I included them all! I also have a few more of my roomie Claire that I will share when she launches her website, so you can see how gorgeous she is and then check out her work!

It was so great to meet everyone. I had learned so much from the workshop, but even more from all the women that attended. I can’t wait to see how our businesses all grow.
I look forward to meeting you for lunch in the near future.
Keep blogging, I am really enjoying your posts as well.
And yes we are soul sisters. Never going back to Corporate.
