Love It!
1. Pottery Barn! So my uncle gave us a Pottery Barn giftcard for our wedding almost 4 years ago and I finally used it Monday! I know can you believe I’ve waited so long?!?!? In my defense I kept losing it and then when I would find it I was gripped with indecisiveness on what to buy. There are so many beautiful things at Pottery Barn and I didn’t want to waste it. It had to be the perfect purchase! While in Clarendon on Monday I saw the PB store and decided that was it I was spending that sucker plus they were having 20% off office items. Sounded perfect! I happened to walk by the lamps and found a floor lamp that weighs like 50lbs and was perfect for our living room. The weight is awesome because Maxie likes to knock over the current IKEA one but I think she will meet her match with this one. There will be a trial run and I may bolt it to the floor if she succeeds!
2. Movie Dates! I have been slacking on my movie dates with Rebecca so we are kicking things off again this week in the VIP lounge at Muvico. Martinis, sliders and french fries with ranch dressing are on the menu! I get to hear all about her wedding planning and then we can watch Katherine Heigl kick some butt! I’m really looking forward to this!!! Oh and we can’t forget a stop by Sweet Reasons to get some cupcakes for dessert!
3. Hubby Home! I’m so excited that next week David will be home for a week for training at Quantico. Yay that means I get my live in chef back!!! I’m going to start making a list of things he has to make while he is home. Steak skewers will definitely be on that list, oh how I miss those!
Hate It!
1. Sneaky Dogs! It was easy to come up with my hate this week as I just cleaned up more dog puke. I apologize for the gross topic especially since my Grandmother reads these and I’m sure she is mortified I’m talking about this on the blog today. (That reminds me I have a Christmas card for you I just haven’t mailed it yet but I will soon! Love you!) So in the last two days my sneaky dogs have eaten 20 banana nut muffins and quite a bit of cat food. My fault for not securing both items better. The results of this have been an upset tummy in Max which leads to anxiety attacks and neither of us sleeping Sunday night. Sadie has graced me with throwing up all the cat food she ate today. I swear these two are preparing me to have a baby, they figure that since they are our practice kids that we need to see what we will be in for when we do have kids. I’m pretty sure all my new mom friends are dealing with sleepless nights and lots of puke too. Thank goodness they are so cute and sweet that you can’t be mad at them for long.
