Whenever I post a wedding I get incredibly nervous. Fear and doubt start running through me and I stress out that the bride is going to hate her photos. I worry that the photos I love she will hate. Now imagine shooting the wedding of a friend and that fear doubles, add in the fact that we work together in the wedding industry and you’ve got a trifecta of nerves and worry. I had no idea when I walked into her shop almost a year and half ago and told her we should work together that I would get to watch her marry her best friend and be the one she trusted to capture it! I feel like I’ve known her forever even though it’s only been a short time and during her wedding I had to take a moment to collect myself because the tears of joy for her started flowing.
If you follow my blog you no doubt have heard of the fabulous Amanda the amazing florist and owner of Anthomanic Florals here in Stafford, Virginia. We’ve worked together on other weddings and tons of projects this year, but today was different. Today it was her turn to be the one in the make-up chair, the one who was stressing about everything going off perfectly. It was her turn to put on the white dress, pick up her gorgeous bouquet and walk down the aisle towards her love, Robby. They’ve known each other since middle school and have been together for 10 years. Amazing! They have grown together and supported each other which is the perfect foundation for a long happy marriage. Amanda is a crazy outgoing creative person and Robby is the quiet calm in her storm, he balances her. They wrote their own vows for the wedding and as Amanda’s voice started to choke up during hers I felt my own tears forming. Their vows were sweet and funny just like they are!
They could not have picked a more perfect day for their wedding, the skies were blue, the sun shining and the temperature was perfect, all in all a spectacular Florida day! Amanda is the last of her sisters to get married and as they helped her into her dress I couldn’t help but think they were pros at this by now! It has been a wedding whirlwind the last couple years for her family, four gorgeous daughters now happily married. The flowers were of course amazing, not that I would expect anything less! Amanda actually made her bouquet and her sister’s and brought them down from Virginia. She said everyone asked her as a florist who would do her flowers so I was not surprised that she kept that job :). Amanda and Robby planned an beautiful wedding at the happiest place on earth, she was a stunning bride and there was so much love and happiness in the air from everyone. I’m so happy that I was able to be there to celebrate with them and capture those special moments that they will treasure forever! Congrats to Amanda and Robby, finally MARRIED!!!!
Robby was a natural at posing, I barely had to give him any directions!
Rocking the model face!
So pretty! I love when mirrors are placed in just the right spot!
Four gorgeous sisters!! I’m pretty sure their poor Dad was a wreck when they all started dating, I can see the boys beating down his door!
Beautiful bouquet! I expected nothing short of stunning from Amanda and her bouquet was exactly that!
I don’t normally post family formals but the backdrop and the lighting and the super gorgeous family, I couldn’t not post it!
The bouquets were all made by Amanda! I love that they are all different but coordinate, just like the four sisters!
