So this week’s column is being written while I’m on a plane flying to Disney World for my favorite florist’s wedding! Yeah how cool is that! Last time I flew to Florida was for an IT conference I was providing VIP technical support for. I didn’t get to go to Disney, I didn’t get to leave the hotel, heck I don’t think I left the conference room pratically! I did find myself having dinner with the president of my company so it wasn’t a totally awful trip 🙂 Today though is much cooler! I haven’t been to Disney since I was 8 years old, I remember tricking my Dad into riding Space Mountain which was like the most awesome roller coaster ever at that time. I’m not such a fan of roller coasters now and that trip may well be the reason.
My hubby is jealous that his last business trip was to Camp LeJune and I’m going to get my photo taken with Mickey!! Oh and I’m having a pink lemonade martini in honor of breast cancer awareness while I’m flying. Yeah it is good to be the boss! I never drink at weddings so this is my little luxury. As fate would have it my ”adorable assistant” was already going to be at Disney for the wine festival so I’ve got a pad to crash at and a date to the wedding! Plus I purposely gave myself one day off to play at Disney. I’m betting it will whet my appetite to come back and bring David too.
I’m super excited and nervous for the wedding but by the time you read this it will be done, yeah I’m pre-blogging. I love this florist so I want to rock her wedding!! Oh they just called for us to land so now I need to chug my martini and sign off.
Being a wedding photographer is the best job ever and I am so happy with my life!! Thank you God for guiding me here!
