I think for the next 6 months the My Life posts will be baby centered! It gives me a way to keep clients, friends and of course family updated on my pregnancy twice a month but this way I won’t overwhelm everyone else with baby stuff :).
I’m 18 weeks along now and everything has been great! I’m just starting to show but I’m still waiting to feel the baby kick more regularly. I’ve felt a few here and there but nothing consistent. Although I’ve noticed if you sit still and try to listen to your body you find out there are all kinds of things going on in there! It makes it difficult to figure out what is the baby and what is just my digestive tract. I’m anxious to feel the baby and have more of a belly to show off! I go in next week for the big ultrasound where most people find out the sex and we will be avoiding finding out! David can’t wait for more photos :). He keeps bugging me for more belly pics and asking if I can feel the baby yet! I love that even though we are half a world apart he is still very excited about this baby. We have been able to video chat several times a week so that makes the time apart a bit easier, at least this time I can actually see him even if it is just through my computer screen!
The nursery is coming along slowly, I picked up a wardrobe off Craigslist to solve the lack of closet issue. It is the perfect size for what we need, I painted it gray and “attempted” to wallpaper the inside with gray and white stripes. Big failure there!!! I will never ever attempt to wallpaper anything again in my life, I have found something I cannot do. So now I get to strip it off and clean it up and go back to what I should have done in the first place and paint it on the inside. We already had a dresser but I spruced it up with a new paint scheme! I’ll show them off later when I finish the nursery and post pics. Next up is having my Dad’s old rocking chair repaired and then comes a mountain of sewing projects! I have a Papaw (aka my Dad) to do list including some painting in the nursery that I don’t want to tackle :).
So next update will have brand new pics of Baby Jeffcoat!!! I can’t wait! Excuse my desperate need for a hair cut and darker makeup in the pic above. By the time I took this I realized half my eye makeup had been rubbed off, ugh I need some MAC eyeliner!!!!
