So here we are at 24 weeks, most days it feels like a circus in my belly with all the kicks, flips and punches Skipper likes to dole out! We went for an ultrasound yesterday to check on the baby’s progress and everything looks great! Once again the Dr mentioned how active s/he is, I think we are going to be in trouble when this little one gets here! I’m thrilled that I’m doing great on my weight, the dr told me 10-15lbs total and I’ve only gained about 3lbs so far. Still a long way to go though…..must…stay…away…from…ice cream!!!!!
So while at the ultrasound they tech switched it over to the 3D view…..I’m just going to say it, 3D view is freaky!!! I see people post the 3D images of their babies all the time and every time it freaks me out and I think the kid looks like an alien. Guess what it’s not just other peoples kids that look like aliens mine did too! The tech printed out the 3d pics and I was a little like um I don’t want to show these. While I was in the bathroom my mom asked for the nice profile view photos for me! Thanks Mom!!!! The tech thought we were weird that I preferred the basic view and not the detailed 3d one. I will say it looks cooler on the video then it does on the still prints. We were able to see the baby covering it’s face with it’s hands and refusing to move them away for a good photo! Yeah my kid is already trained to avoid looking at the camera, that’s a photographers kid alright!!!
Unfortunately the dr did not clear me to fly to Italy to see David as I was hoping :(. It is a long flight and she is concerned that if something went wrong I would not have access to immediate medical care. We decided to go ahead and err on the side of caution so Italy will have to wait for awhile. I’m not devastated though because we were able to move things around and instead David is coming home to see us for about a week!! Going to Italy would have been awesome but I was mainly looking forward to seeing my hubby so I haven’t lost out on that! I’m sure the puppies will be happy to see him too :). Somehow David is already managing to squeeze in a race that week so all his family will get to see him instead of just his mom and I now. David thinks Skipper planned it this way! Hopefully Dad and I can get the boat fixed finally so she quits overheating and we can all go out for July 4th fireworks!
So here is my weekly pic for last week and then of course an updated pic of Skipper for the grandparents 🙂
