I’m so excited to share these photos with you guys because I love them!! I’ll be breaking this up into multiple posts because I have so many to share! Monday I felt like a little kid about to go on my first field trip to the zoo as I headed out to Tarara Winery. I mapped out a route through the back roads of Virginia in order to avoid the horror that is 95, plugged in the gps and headed on my way. As I kept driving further and further off the route my gps wanted me to take I kept waiting for it to start yelling at me like they do in the commercials. I thought for sure it was going to tell me if you don’t u-turn and head to 95 this minute I’m shutting myself off! After awhile though it finally caught on to the route I wanted to go and we were both happily on our way. (See David I can even make electronics bend to my will:) ) I love driving through the windy twisty roads of Virginia, it is so beautiful and relaxing. My destination was Leesburg and the gorgeous Tarara winery, for any brides looking for a beautiful and unique location I highly recommend this venue. It was truly inspiring and a place that your guests will talk about for years to come!
This style shoot was put on by a fellow photographer Lindsey out of Leesburg and she did an awesome job of lining up hair and make artists, models, props and the fabulous location. Style shoots are incredibly fun for photographers because we get to play around and try new things and network with each other. I ran into some photographers I’ve met before and I got to meet new photographers that are close by that I’m excited to find an excuse to go out and shoot with for fun
I am inspired to work with my brides more to stylize shoots for their engagment and bridal sessions. I think professional hair and makeup are hugely important in looking your best for your photographs. Check out KB below and you can see how incredibly beautiful she is and her makeup was awesome! It was done by Melissa Ervin, www.themakeupchick.com, check her out! Hair was done by the Paul Mitchell School in Tyson’s Corner. When thinking about a Rock the Dress session check out these photos to see how you too can rock your dress!!! It’s all about having fun and getting a little dirty but not a lot :)
