Finally I had a wedding out at The Inn at Willow Grove where there was no RAIN!!!! You have no idea how excited I was :)! The forecast was calling for 40% showers around the ceremony time and I was worried I was cursed but the skies stayed clear and perfect. It was a gorgeous day to celebrate Alyssa and E.W.’s wedding!
I don’t think I’ve seen a couple so excited to be married, it wasn’t anything they said but it was the happiness that beamed out from them when they were pronounced man and wife. It truly was one of the happiest days of their life and you could just see it and feel it exploding out of them! I felt so blessed to be there to capture all the small moments leading up to that magical moment. One of the most special moments of the day for me was to document Alyssa and her dad just before they walked down the aisle, as they stood together and prayed over her and E.W. and their marriage. This gorgeous light was coming in the windows behind them and they just glowed, it made me think of God just reaching down at that moment and wrapping them in a hug of light. It was a beautiful sight to witness!
Early in the day I was tipped off to a surprise for Alyssa after her sister gave her MOH speech, it was a FLASHMOB!!!!! How cool is that!!!! Her friends and family planned a flamingo dance just for her and they even had props, the look on her face was priceless as they all danced up from their seats with pink flamingo sunglasses and boas! What an awesome memory she will carry with her! I always learn so much more about my clients from the speeches portion of a wedding and E.W.’s father had everyone cracking up. He had just the right amount of funny stories and it was easy to see how proud he was of the man his son has become!
Alyssa and E.W. I wish you a lifetime of happiness in which you grow closer together in your faith. You have such a wonderful family to support you and an excitement for being husband and wife that inspires me! Congrats on a beautiful wedding and starting a new chapter in your lives!
