Schmitz Family Portraits Spotsylvania Virginia Family Photographer

Earlier this year when I first started having problems with our dog Maxie and her destructive anxiety issues I knew I needed help.  David was still deployed and during one of our conversations he mentioned one of his co-workers was a doggy behaviorist.  I was quick to track her down and beg for help even though she was taking some time off.  Luckily she was nice enough to come out to the house and observe Maxie and give me some advice on what to do.  You can check out some of her articles in the Fredericksburg Front Porch Magazine!  I had never met Wendy before but she had worked with David for awhile and I knew she understood my husband’s humor so I figured we would get along!  (My husband has what can only be described as a warped sense of humor when you get to know him!)  Within 5 minutes I loved her!  I totally lost track of time chatting with her about Maxie and David.  When she asked me to take photos of her family I was thrilled!  I was even more excited when I picked up a copy of the Front Porch and saw that according to her dogs behavior she was probably pregnant!  (Apparently he only likes her when she is pregnant.)  When we scheduled the session she told me that sure enough the dog was right!

We met up at Patriot Park in Spotsylvania last week and wandered around the park for photos.  This was my first time meeting Jay her husband but I had been pre-warned that he was a big dude!  Apparently my hubby is a tad scared of Jay!  Jay did not disappoint, coming in at 6’4″ and covered in tattoos he is an impressive figure.  He was nice as can be to me so I guess David can hide behind me next time we see Jay coming ;)  Their little boy was adorable and he even helped me take some pics of his Mom and Dad!  He will be a great big brother!
