I’ve spent the last three weekends on the road driving between VA, NC and SC and I’m sick of sitting in my car!!!! The first trip was down to SC to go to Myrtle beach for vacation and for a wedding then back home again last weekend. This weekend I drove down to spend the weekend with my husband in Emerald Isle, he had stayed behind from vacation for a work trip and had a condo for the week out there. We thought we would take advantage of the location and I came down sans kids (ie the dogs) and we had a nice weekend. I completely fell in love with Emerald Isle!
The water was so clear, I was in it up to my knees and could see my feet. I’m sure I looked like a little kid out there exclaiming to my husband I can see my feet, look!! We went out on the pier and you could see fish and jellyfish swimming in the top couple feet of the water. We’ve already decided that next years vacation will be at Emerald Isle!

- I love this picture, I took it from the pier and the colors are so beautiful. This photo makes me want to move there!

- I love watching the waves roll in, it was pretty calm today though.

- We saw these condos down at the waterfront at the NC Seafood Festival, I thought the repeating spiral staircases were cool.

- We ran to the beach to try to catch the sunset, you can’t tell from the photo but the sun was HUGE. Of course I caught the last few seconds, still it was amazing!
